morse code type beat, ok actual review:

I think it has an idea but it doesn't necessarily do much with that idea. Leaving it kinda... empty? It just doesn't bring much to the table. It's like a 3-course meal but they just bring the same tray of chicken and rice every time with maybe a bit more seasoning. Like the piano at the end was a neat idea but I didn't feel like it added much into the mix for me. I did like that you did add to it but overall the song just didn't change up enough really to keep me into it if that makes sense? And maybe that's the goal of the song, its really up to the person to decide how to view it as music has to be rated off of some bias. Keep it up tho!

Pilotepisode responds:

Thanks! I think I can only go up from here :D

Hey! Here to give an honest review! I want to say, I feel like you had good ideas for this track. I mean that wholeheartedly. I just feel like you weren't able to bake them fully. The way the drop comes in at 0:56 and 1:58 feels odd. They don't seem to have the impact you wanted them to have and I think that might be a combination of when you bring them in (feels early) and how you bring them in (feels a bit empty). Also, there just doesn't seem to be much variation from the first loop to the second loop that can really set them apart from each other. And some notes on the sorta arpeggio lead don't seem like they fit, could be just me. I hope any of what I said makes some since as I do see the vision, it just seems as if you needed a bit more time. Keep it up!

Hywell responds:

Hey! Thanks for the feedback! I know my drops are kinda disappointing, sadly I don't know how to fix that, I guess I'll have to see by experimenting, and yeah I should probably add some variation to the second part of the track.

Overall, thanks!

I think its cool, but the mix feels all over the place for this track. That kinda took away from this track for me. I still think the ideas you had were nice!

really interesting, remixing a youtube audio library song is actually kinda funny in my head tbh, but good song!

d00dfayz responds:

It wouldn't be the first time I straight up remix a track from a production music library. But this one I think I heard in a Project Zomboid video. Initially I just had a rip of this to go into my folders and folders of library music to use as sample fodder later. But then it just happens that because the entire track is drumless ambient prog electronic built around a basic synth loop in 85 BPM, it's a perfect foundation for a psytrance remix in double time 170 BPM. A genre that I don't usually do in any serious capacity to begin with.

this tune has that rhythm to it that has me boppin' my head, and it sounds like a theme of someone who sneaks around, just has that feeling to me.

good job! can't wait to see what else you make!

Droofy responds:

hell yeah ! thanks dog :0]

although simple, this goes pretty hard, could definitely use some more juice on its bones if you what i mean

Thanks! Check out my new song!!

A silly (unabashedly myself) guy who produces silly (and not-so-silly) songs and tries to find his style. I also make YouTube videos sometimes. Check that out if you want!
